CHAPTER 28: SUNLIGHT AND SHADOWS

The first light of dawn spilled through the embroidered curtains, casting golden patterns on the marble floor. Birds chirped softly in the gardens below, their melody gentle and unhurried, like a lullaby that lingered even after dreams had faded.

Inside the bridal chamber, everything was hushed but warm—like the stillness that follows a long-awaited rain.
